Bible marker used for bible on lectern, altar or, like I do, for the mini lecturn I have for reading the espistle!  It balances out the colour with the pulpit scarf on the lectern and the veil on the altar.  I find it worth it to not look lopsided, to spread the colour of the season throughout the chapel/church.  But if your just starting out...remember...white works for all seasons and you do not want to try and get everything at once.  This item is NOT necessary, it just looks good...I can use my hand or dog ear a page if I have to!
